2010 is the year that 3 Wheeler Band is formed in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. Its members: Adrian - Vocals and Guitar, Jose - Drums, Davo – Bass, got together for the first time at Davo’s recording studio to jam some rock tunes, drink cold beer and bar-b-q. The electricity was present the whole jam session, riffs were flying, heavy grooves were being built along with shredding guitar solos, powerful bass lines and rough, harsh whiskey and cigarette driven vocals. A new Rock N’ Roll band was born.
Attached to the legacy of classic rock from the seventies and eighties, the band's style is influenced from bands such as Deep Purple, Cactus, Clutch, Orange Goblin, Led Zeppelin, Vanilla Fudge, Black Sabbath, Cream, Atomic Bitchwax, The Black Crowes, Buckcherry, Fu Manchu, Down, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top, King Hobo, Firebird, Black Label Society, Canned Heat, Blue Cheer.
The northern Mexican city of Monterrey has served as our main scene taking our live Rock N’ Roll to the most important stages in our city. Bars like Café Iguana, Ibex, Nachos & Gangas, even the legendary Fitzgerald’s from Houston, Texas have opened their doors to our live shows charged with such energy that we could light up electrical power plants for years! The interaction with the crowd was our fuel that kept us Rockin’ all 2010, 2011 and 2012, when we decided to take it to next level and record our first album.
From August 2012 to February 2013, 3 Wheeler Band began the recording process for their debut album: Smoke N’ Groove. The drum tracks were recorded at Davo’s home studio using the world famous Glyn-Johns method in order to capture the live essence of the drums at the rehearsal space. Guitars, bass lines and vocals were laid down in 528Hz Studio, owned by producer Abraham Madera, who assisted us in producing the best Rock album we could make taking that live vibe to audio format.
The album was mastered by Sage Audio Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The band was aiming for a mastering studio that could stand out a heavy classic rock sound blended with a twist of southern rock and Sage Audio delivered; and on March 2013 we received the final master blowing our minds and ears.
Smoke N’ Groove was released on September 5ht, 2013 through iTunes and CDBaby and 3 Wheeler Band threw a release party at the local joint Roots Green Pub, where close to 200 friends, family members and fans of the band got together for a great Rock N’ Roll show.
We currently have one official video on rotation and YouTube for the first track of the album: You Ain’t that Lucky, we are working on new videos and continue to bring our heavily energetic Rock N’ Roll show where available.
ROCK N 'ROLL!!! is the line of battle, Rock n 'Roll is strength and power, Rock n' Roll is what unites us, Rock n 'Roll is the expression of our generation! Rock N’ Roll is alive and well, so spread the word, 3 Wheeler Band is carrying out the message that ROCK AIN’T DEAD!!!
